What is more important to you when choosing a con game? Genre, System, GM, Description?

Mostly system and description. Gene can usually be inferred from those while at the cons I usually attend it's rare for me to know the GMs. The exception to that was Stratigicon where the reason I was attending was to play with other Jackers so that became a priority.

I'm lucky enough to attend cons where I know a lot of the GMs (or know people who know them, and can give me a heads-up on their style), for me that's the priority. Next is the Genre/Description. System doesn't really matter to me (though if two games are vying for a single time slot, I'll usually go with GURPS).

Yep, first thing I look at is GM to see if I know anything about them, then it's system and description. There are some GMs that I would trust to take me on a ride to any game system/genre, much like mook in the post above me, so I don't really look at what genre he's going with until after I try to get into one of his games!

Some combination of those for me. When I actually know the GMs at a con, such as Strategicon now I first look for GMs.that isn't to say that the GM alone is enough to get me in a game though. I normally am drawn mostly to systems I want to try.
When I'm looking at a new con or see unfamiliar GMs I always read the description even if it's a game system I'm interested in. It shows a lot about the game when you see a well crafted description. I will admit to doing GM research if I want to pay a game but the GM name is unfamiliar.
