Listening to the podcast now. You could use the following player mat: www.dropbox.com/sh/mv3kggpz5qbf9gt/AACLTU5n7VqBkA38rjZpkMJya?dl=0It will help answer a lot of questions. The new Shaken rules are thus: “At the beginning of their action, a Shaken character makes a Spirit roll to recover. On a failure, he remains Shaken. On a success, the character removes their Shaken condition and may take their action normally.”

Really... I'll look in to that... This is the second AP that's happened. I think the last one was the most recent MoTruth game, but I'm not positive. But yeah, 1:52:06 "I'D RATHER HAVE LAGER THAN LIIIIIFE..." EDIT: yeah, it may have been Ep0 as stated above.

Did Bill seriously say that Metallica sang Ace of Spades? He fucking did. He's dead to me.

Did Bill seriously say that Metallica sang Ace of Spades? I was still exploring my Crazy by mis-pronouncing the name of the wrong band. I stole the "metal-eeka" from Spinal Tap when they announced the band at an MTV awards ceremony many moons ago. Trust me, I know that Motorhead did Ace of Spades. A rock band I played in many years ago (The Shatners) had a country alter-ego line-up (The Rodeo Clowns) and we did a hickified version of it. Don't even TRY to make excuses. Dead to me. (But Stu Venable might like this: m.youtube.com/watch?v=sjkzbCkZEuQ)

One critique that I think every player and GM should take into account with ranged combat in Savage Worlds is cover. Were those foes coming out of the forest still in the forest when getting fired upon? How much of them was visible? If only half their body is poking out of some bushes to fire at the party that's still medium cover and every shot at them is at a -2. This is the price you pay for having the Shooting TN be a constant 4, if a dumby wants to get into a fire fight in the middle of a valley they will get what jazzisblues lovingly calls "a case of the dead" real quick. Cover, no matter how flimsy or tough, only takes into account how much of the foe is visible. The other factor in this is lighting. If you are in a fire fight with that same foe in the same position in the middle of the night with only moonlight to aim by you're probably looking at a -6 (-4 for Darkness, -2 Medium Cover) to shoot them. These rules are especially taxing on a character like Stu's who shoots over an entire area where there's a good chance now he kills half the forest but hits no foes.

Listened to this on my DoggCatcher app today. Am I the only one that heard a random Boggarts song dropped in drowning out the audio? Seems it's twice this has happened for me.

And if I actually didn't know it was Motorhead, I would have copped to it. The amount of stuff I don;t know is STAGGERING.
