I'll be at the con this year. I haven't got any concrete schedule as of yet, though I'm cobbling it together now. Thus far I've just got a couple of things I'm doing briefly over at the Monte Cook Games booth - we're trying to get in a live recording of the CypherCast from the booth, but the timing isn't quite nailed down yet. None of the time slots I've been given as options thus far seem to conflict with what you guys have been talking about, though, so we're probably good there. I'll give priority to any Happy Jacks meetups if I can, so if it happens (be it early Saturday evening or whenever), just let me know.

I'll be at Gen Con as well. I'm a little new to the Happy Jacks podcast, but I'm enjoying the back episodes. I'm lurking on the forums to see if there's a Happy Jacks meet up, and I hope to have a beer with y'all. That's right, y'all...I'm from Texas and we do say that.

I have some mobility issues, so I would suggest Saturday around 4:00 at the Omni Severin.
There's a couple of bars and a restaurant depending on people's opinion at the time.

Gencon is going to be super busy compared to past years, due to the convention being mostly sold out. Recommend maybe having a meet up in a couple of different places (Omni is a good choice, or perhaps the Sunking beer garden).

Ok, its time to come to grips with the facts. I held out for some sort of miracle to happen, or at least something fantastic, but it didn't. I am not physically capable of making a 2 hour trip in the vehicles I have access to and can't find anyone with a comfortable vehicle who is willing to let me borrow it or drive me. So, as much as it pains me(and honestly it truly does pain me), I have to bow out of the meet up. Its just a cold hard fact of my life that I am so limited in such things. I truly do apologize to Stu Venable, Monkeyfun Dave, ayslyn, and all the other douchebags I was hoping to see next weekend. Maybe eventually I'll finally get to meet everyone.

I'll be at Gen Con this year. I have a pretty tight schedule, I schedule myself heavy to try to inhibit impulse purchases. Lol. But if anyone wants to friend me in the Gen Con system, my e-mail is kwickpick12@gmail.com. I would be more than willing to hand out flyers, etc. to support the show and meet up for a beer if schedules allow.

I'll be there this year. I will be working but I will definitely try to make it down depending on what time we meet. I forget when the vendor hall closes.

ok, I just listened to the latest episode and I don't frequent the forums often, but I live in Indy and will start with some quick suggestions. The first place I think of that is in close walking distance from the convention center is Tow Yard Brewing. If you don't mind going further out, Metazoa, Sun King, and Indiana City are all within walking/biking distance. I mention biking because Indy has a really good bike trail system (warning, PDF) and bike rentals through downtown. Also, there is an electric car rental system in place for slightly longer trips if you don't want to Uber/Lyft etc. So my final suggestion is La Revolucion which basically sells tacos and burgers and has a really good spicy margarita. A little further out than the previous suggestions, but a really nice walk. While you are in Indy, I hope you check out Nicey Treat who make great popsicles and will sometimes have a food truck presence. Otherwise, you can find a stand on Virginia Ave and some selection inside the White River State Park Visitor Center (the park across from the baseball field).

Also, on Wednesday at 6 pm Lez Zeppelin, the all female Led Zeppelin cover band, will perform at the keg opening party on Georgia St right outside the convention center and is worth a stop.

I leave Flint, MI in 12 hours. Pick up my Buddy in Holland and in Indy for dinner. Light schedule, let me know time(s) and place(s).
Whutaguy@aol.com Yes, aol still exists. I've had that email for 24 years. Can you say that?
