So, great idea for an adventure, but getting it started was a problem. See, as long as you start the campaign there I think you're well within 'game concept,' as opposed to railroad. "Your character is imprisoned on a star destroyer. Tell me why.", is a hell of a chargen hook. Agreed, but for me, I got that adventure after my campaign had started... :/

Anyone ever adventure in the Elrood sector? I used to combine that with the secrets of the sisar run and the sector in the tramp freighters book nto a mega sandbox.

We were always on the outer rim, save one alternative timeline that was Bad. Ass.
Vader had located Leia and raised her as his dark apprentice.

Ok EricaOdd... what are the books I need for this? I'm going to start the great Star Wars D6 search.

Oh, gosh... you're gonna tax my memory... lol
The original hardback was good, as that's the one that started it all. They also had a "Star Wars 10th Anniversary" edition, which was kinda like a second edition book, that came out in 1987 -- the 10th anniversary of the movie.
There were also alien race books, sector sourcebooks, adventures, starship books, etc. I'll see if I can come up with a list, but someone who actually still has their collections might be of more immediate help.
Not sure how many of these can even still be found on eBay or Amazon or wherever.

They were all really good. A huge chunk of the old extended universe was largely fueled by the game.

Oops I did goof. Noble Knight does have a lot of WEG Star Wars stuff. The original 1st edition book WAS released on the movie's 10th anniversary. It came out in 1987. The second edition came out in 1992.
I don't want to supply any more misinformation, so I'll cede this part of the topic to those with intact collections and/or better memory!

Get second edition revised and expanded. It has the falcon in the front cover
I still own all of these books in my study. Right now I am seeing Ron White but afterwards I can look at stuff
What kind of game do you want?
Also I love Tramp Freighters. Great book for a smuggling crew.

Well I hope "Tater Salad" is giving you a good laugh! Thank you. That gives me a place to start. I'm not really sure what kinda of game actually. I'm not even sure what I am going think about the system once I'm done reading it. That being said... my players keep asking for a spy game... so maybe a rogue one type game?

Ron White was awesome, though I saw Iron Maiden on Wednesday and that was awesome too...
OK, all you really need is the core book. It will have enough to run what you want to run.
Other Books that could add to the fun:
CRACKENS REBEL FIELD GUIDE - technology and how to modify it. things like landmines, how to hide data in a blaster, adn cyber wear.
IMPERIAL SOURCEBOOK - Basically a monster manual.
WANTED BY CRACKEN - a group of villains that could be used in various capacities.
I could keep going but I would probably name every book.
