Did you get the original Rippers or Rippers Resurrected?
Regardless of which version you got, you'll probably want to get the GM's guide as well. That's got all the monster stats and the plot point campaign, plus some other info that's important to the GM.
If you got the original version, the Rippers Companion has some more adventure ideas and more monsters, plus again some interesting additions to the game, but it's not important to have it. It's a neat little extra, but all you really need are the Player's Guide, the GM's Guide, and the Savage Worlds core book.

I got the Resurrected one, sorry for not saying.
Perfect I will track down the GM guide.
Is the original worth picking up? I see they have a bundle on drivethrurpg.

Rippers Resurrected is the better version, IMO, but the plot point campaign in it is a sequel to the story in the original, so the Resurrected Player's Guide has "spoilers" in that regard.
Also, Resurrected is more streamlined and put-together, IMO, and how things work are significantly different between the two versions. The Savage Worlds system itself changed hardly at all, but how certain Rippers-specific systems work are drastically different between the two.
So... I guess it depends on how you want to run the game. The original Rippers plot point campaign pits the characters some of the greatest monstrous villains in Victorian fiction. The Resurrected version goes in a different direction with new villains. You could run the original and then run Resurrected, but if you do that be aware of the differences in the two versions.
Or, you could do what I'm doing. I'm running the ORIGINAL campaign story, but using the Resurrected rules. I just told my players that the Player's Guide has spoilers and not to read the history section. Whether or not they listened to me is anyone's guess. lol
The third option would be to just ignore the plot point campaign and run the stories in the book as unrelated "monster of the week" style adventures and not worry about it. That's a great option if you also have the original version because you double the number of adventures you can run.

Hmmm. I think I’ll have to read through the players guide and then decide. Thank you very much for all the info!
Edit: I did find a copy of the GM Guide, adventure book, and GM screen. All for Resurrected.
