with Just Us #Heroes ending, it's time to pick something for the next campaign. Stu has asked that I run something in Savage Worlds. Ok, can do. Now, we just need to decide on a genre. That's where you guys come in. Help me pick the genre for the next game by voting.
Thanks,
JiB

Depends. I'd really like to see a tight, two-four episode Noir Arc broadcast on twitch in black and white. Nothing ongoing, but with a slightly larger scope than just a single one shot. Long enough to have people get into their characters and establish some drama and then whatever problem was set up resolves and it's on to the next. As for an ongoing, I'm 110% there with EricaOdd . 50 Fathoms is one of my favorite settings. And it's kind of a reverse of what Stu Venable is doing in Blood Blade and Tusk. Instead of fantasy people coming to a historical setting you have historical people coming to a fantasy setting, which is super fun. The default setting factions are all really intersting, the sailing mechanic is fun, the world is pretty well developed. It's all fantasic. We found saying 'redmen' over and over a little too borderline for our delicate sensibilities, so we just called em Orcs, however. Interface Zero is also a huge possibility, and one that hasn't been represented on HJAPs. I've been in full swing for cyberpunk lately, though. I'd like to see a game in the 40k universe, though I'm not sure Savage Worlds is the system to do it in.

I want to vote you guys just keep playing Masks. No really, that has been the most I have enjoyed a AP ever. /sigh
Since I'm sure that isn't really a option, pirates. Always pirates!

If not 50 Fathoms but you still want to do pirates, there is the old Pirates of the Spanish Main setting. It's a hardback based on the old ship combat "constructible card game" that came out about 10 years or so ago. PotSM is a stand-alone book, meaning it contains a complete set of the Savage Worlds rules as they existed at that time. Being a high-adventure setting, one thing about the game is that the heroes can't really die. It's meant to encourage wacky swashbuckling hijinks without the fear of having a character meet an ignominious end because of a botched roll. It has a more robust ship combat system than 50 Fathoms, as well as special Edges and Hindrances just for ships! www.peginc.com/product-category/pirates/If you have time to wait for it, there's a new pirates book for SW coming out soon called Buccaneers: Through Hell and High Water. It's much more in the vein the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Although PotSM I mentioned above has supernatural elements in it, in BtHaHW the supernatural is far less subtle. fabledenvironments.com/wp/buccaneer-through-hell-and-high-water/

Depends. I'd really like to see a tight, two-four episode Noir Arc broadcast on twitch in black and white. I would love to see a Noir style game in black and white, especially if all the men are wearing fedoras and the women are wearing fancy flowery head thingies or big hats. Also, maybe get a smoke machine to have faint wisps of smoke in the air during the game. This could look awesome! Especially if everyone gets really into the atmosphere and acts all dark and overly dramatic all the time.

That would be awesome. As for Noir, there's this: Deadlands Noir

*sigh* Since I guess I'm losing my favorite AP I guess I could vote for something that I would like to see played. Something different. My vote would be for East Texas University, because I'm pretty sure you backed it and I think that would be pretty cool. Its kinda Urban Fantasy ish which I know most of the Happy Jacks folks like. Or stick with supers and go Necessary Evil.

Oh, I don't know if this matters to you... 50 Fathoms has a plot-point campaign.
Pirates of the Spanish Main does not, meaning you'll have to come up with your own campaign ideas.
I'm not sure if Buccaneers will have one or not.

Arr matey, there be no yarn as good as one where there be Pirates. I also like Day after Ragnarok and East Texas U. as well.
