I'm currently in a group that primarily plays Dungeons and Dragons Adventure League(DDAL) games. One of the draws is that you can have several characters that you can play in the different scenarios i.e. "my barbarian hasn't played this adventure yet, so I'll play him". In this case, I was playing my Half-Orc Druid by the name of Feng. Feng was the runt of the litter. This led to him being physically abused by the older orcs and half-orcs. So much so that he's now missing one tusk. Feng was only able to find solace in the woods away from his tormentors, so he ran away. Being small in stature (5'3) meant that he wasn't as intimidating to other races, so he was able to find work as a guide. It was here that he began his communion with nature. Although he was able to find some peace, it didn't completely free him of the rage form Orcish heritage, so he was a more wild Druid who focused on damage. Fast forward. We're fighting a group of Goblins, so I'm using my spells. My favorite one to cast is Ice Knife which is an AoE that requires "a drop of water" as a material component. Well saliva is close enough for this half orc. (No need to wasting clean drinking water to cast a spell) When my turn came around again, I cast Flame Sword and moved in for the attack. It was then that I was struck with a moment of inspiration worthy of Probie Tim. I yelled out to our Tabaxi (cat person) bard, "Tempest, play me a song of ice and fire!!!!"
