I suspect worldwise, it may end up able to be closer to his original vision of the world than L5R ended up being. L5R was supposed to have more Asian things and not as much Japanese, if I remember right. But this works well, because he never got to develop the Burning Sands, the Ivory Kingdoms etc, or Merenae...

It's not Rokugan, at all.
Rokugan is 'Japan'.
Khitai is 7thSea 'China', it's also not an expansion, its a separate-but-compatible stand alone game.
7th Sea is now a brand/game engine, like D20, PbtA, Savage, etc.

I'd say Khitai is "the East", rather than China. Looking at the kingdoms listed, Fuso sure sounds like Japan. Agnivarsan Empire might be India. The Kiwa Islands could be Indonesia, maybe? Shenzhou is probably China. I'm sure the others are similar not-real-places, too.

John Wick called it "Pacific Rim". The sourcebook unlocked today is Agnivarsa based on Mughal India. So yes, not really L5R but Asia flavored 7th Sea.
But...Made you look!

I got email about this a couple days ago I just don't post often enough to have been 'first', but super glad you spread the word! It's already funded, and I'm already looking at Mikado tier and crying.
