I'm heading to Fogo for dinner, but I'm very interested in meeting up for drinks tonight if anybody else wants in.

So, yeah, I missed the meetup. I ended up playing in the Pathfinder 2.0 Playtest (PF Society). How many of you got together?

Unfortunately, I am being kidnapped by my friends for some new board game. I won't be able to make it. I'm curious - what board game? Based upon what I saw during Gen Con I am going to guess Root.

It was Euphoria. I had thought at the time that it was a new game. I was mistaken. It was just new to us.

I don't think the meetup happened at all. I'm really sorry it didn't, but I DID get to at least say a quick hello to Jason when we were running games at adjacent tables. For those who went, how was your Gen Con? I had a fantastic time, mostly. I ran a lot of demo games of Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game. (I've owned this game for just over a year, and it's still firmly ensconced as one of my top two favorite board games.) I also ran a session of Dread that was a big hit with the players. Five out of the six hadn't ever played it before, and we had a blast. I really, really wanted to run a session of Gruel Truck, but due to some kind of snafu the event didn't get approved until 12:30am on the day before the convention. Sadly (but unsurprisingly) it didn't happen. I got in one True Dungeon run, and got lucky - I teamed up with a crew of seasoned veteran TD players, and with their assistance we cruised through the combats pretty easily. The puzzle rooms were - as always - AMAZING. I also got to be a playtest player for a new scenario in the Delta Green RPG (they won like six Ennies this year). This is a very interesting game - it's basically Special Forces vs. Cthulhu. We had a great time getting our asses handed to us. For the record, I don't recommend keeping the RPGs and their ammo inside the passenger area of a military vehicle. You won't survive the blast when an RPG goes off between your knees. I didn't. I met some great gamers, made new friendships, spent WAY too much on food, picked up a couple of new expansions for games I already own, and came back to find work completely fell apart while I was away. I don't think they're gonna let me take another vacation for a while...

I had a blast. Bought all sorts of stuff from the Hall, and got to play some games.
First, was a game of the new 7e Battlelords of the 23rd Century. Fun game and adventure. Very adaptable GM. They've really streamlined the rules. Looking forward to the KS fulfillment on that.
Second was a board game called Euphoria. Where you try to build a better dystopia. ^.^
After that, I got to play Night's Black Agents. Where due to a string of late game bad rolling our Bourne/Bond game turned into Inspector Clouseau…. ^.^
Later that day, I got to play in Jason's Demigods game. We all had a ton of fun creating our group, our Spindel (Steve), and beating up a mechanical minotaur.
Last, my brother and our friend all got into a new game called Overlight. It is a non-traditional fantasy game, and fun. I posted a picture of the back of the book on the discord if anyone wants to see it.
