Do you have some suggestions I can try to make it work better, other than being silent all the time? I mentioned this in the Session 0 thread, but I'm a fan of the idea of you sitting next to Dave and when you're character is going to say something to his, you lean in and say it sotto voce. The mics will pick you up so we can all hear it, but Kimi (and Stu) won't be able to hear it. Dave can then pass along whatever his character decides to. Listeners get to be on on all ideas, but role play becomes important as Dave is basically your translator. If there's something you want to communicate directly to someone, you can do it with an actual chalkboard, or pantomime, or however you do it in the room without talking. Obviously if you're speaking OOC, hold up your hand or something to indicate OOC and yammer away. Don't you think Stork's arm would get tired?

It might be kinda funny if you had to ring a bell (a very small one for podcast reasons) to indicate that you were trying to get Dave's attention before you could talk to him.
I just imagine a bell ringing for minutes before he acknowledges you. Or Kimi telling him to pay attention to your frantic hand motions just to make you stop.
