Finally feeling settled enough to see if there are any Jackers in London that might fancy a meet-up?

Stockholm answering.
Not close enough for a irl game but if you're thinking about running/playing online we jackers in the more suitable time zones make could get something going.

No longer based near London but could probably try and make it down if there were a meetup later in the year (rather busy up until mid April).

LoL, about 6 hours drive on a good day. Used to be able to do it in just under 4 but there are more speed cameras nowadays and my current car is a 4WD for living in the countryside (built less for speed and more for overcoming the absence of grit on local roads). The best way to get a UK Jackers meetup would be to plan a date - not during school holidays or bank holidays (because traffic is terrible then) - and venue in The London's outskirts eg: Uxbridge, Hempstead, Stansted - to avoid congestion charge, parking costs and the congestion. That or be sure it's near a tube stop. Last time I was in London I used a parking app similar to airBnB where residents rent out space by the day or the hour . . . you usually end up parking somewhere 'interesting' but significantly cheaper than commercial parking (which is a real bitch unless you book ahead). I wonder if we could get a UK map and pin various UK Jackers on it to see where we all are and where would be an ideal meeting place? preferably one with some interesting history: Canterbury is very nice and so is Glastonbury Tor and Chatham in Kent. Later this year one of the bigger LARP's will be held in Derbyshire - Lorien Trust (frequented by one of the hosts of the defunct Nearly Enough Dice Podcast) Aaron

I'd probably get the train from Warwick Parkway to Marylebone, then the Tube to wherever.
Speaking of which, any Jackers feel like a meetup at the Uk Games Expo? 1-3 June at the NEC this year.

Games expo is looking like a miss for me again this year, June just always seems to be a bad time for me.

Airecon no but have been to Dragonmeet a number of times when I lived in the SE. June for Games Expo always used to be difficult as it overlapped with a major work conference. This year I've the combination of getting married and likely moving again having only recently relocated so weekends/time off are in short supply. I'm hoping that things will have settled down enough to make the new Tabletop Gaming Live event in September or Dragonmeet again at the end of the year but will have to wait and see.
