Hey all, So I enjoy these kind of surveys because it gives me a reason to post on twitter. But I figured I would pass it on to all you as well.

Dude, I'd wait three weeks until this year's release of the #RPGaDay list. A little more worldly questions and little less focused on fantasy RPGs.

The only thing I can see that specifically references fantasy is #7, and it gives you the option of choosing an ability instead of a spell.

The questions certainly make me think about how I got started in RPGs and how much fun I've had playing them. I had time to answer the following:
1. 1980, grade 9, lunch in a spare classroom. A mish-mash of Holmes Basic and AD&D 1e, going through B2: Keep on the Borderlands. 2. 1981, AD&D 1e, for most of the same guys from the initial game. Cannot recall the module. 3. Roltar Tharganskull, dwarven fighter, AD&D 1e, made it all the way to 7th level before his low DEX caused him to fall off a rusty chain and die. 4. Smokey, Gnome Illusionist, AD&D 1e. He had the biggest collection of (virtually) useless magic items to annoy the party/DM/NPCs/monsters with. 5. Classic Traveller Third Imperium 6. PGMP-14 (Plasma Gun, Man-Portable, Tech Level 14) 9. 1st edition Dwarves! 11. AD&D 1e/2e/5e 12. Swords & Sorcery 13. Gaming with people who are invested in the "big picture" of a story arc. 14. Playing the homebrew "Windermere Keep" campaign in AD&D 1ed. Over nearly 18 months, Working up from 1st level gradually overcoming the gamut of classic monsters, puzzles, & traps, culminating in massed battles with naval & land engagements, plus an epic encounter with an adult dragon with full lair abilities. 16. Never! 17. 18 months, every Friday night 7PM-midnight, plus a handful of Saturdays. 20. Happy Jacks 21. Rules heavy. Crunch is good. 24. 15+3 years. 26. typically about 4 hours 27. in person
