This game looks like it will be a lot of fun.
Translations to pass as Londoners:
Up north = North of England where they are stupid inbred farmers
Ubers = asking to be raped. For god sake, take a black cap.
An English sportsman - An English sportsman
A Scotish/Welsh/Irish sportsman = A Scottish/Welsh/Irish sportman who is failing
A British sportsman = A Scottish/Welsh/Irish sportsman who is winning
Germany - Those loser that we bet in two world wars and one world cup
Aussie bartender - An aussie in their natual habitat
Sheep shaggers - The Welsh
From her IRE legacy, I'm assuming Colleen is catholic and even if she's atheist or her religion is very minor part of her day to day life, she is probably proud of that. And, if you're going for realism, for the example of Colleen being suspect about a bomb going off, nowadays the racism would point towards anyone from the middle east so Colleen would probably be overlooked.
Assuming politically you don't want to get to deep into real world stuff but a quick overview of Brexit to give you a feel of what's the deal. My bis will show so let me be transparent: I am a Scot, pro Scotish interpendance and anti-Brexit.
Politically the UK is a watered down reflection of what's going on in the US. It is very divided. To her supporters, Thearsa May is working towards the same good work that Trump is doing. To others, she is a weak bigoted power hungry witch with no soul, sense of reality, and an entourage of rich white perverts. Also google pictures of her with children. She seems repulised by them.
Looking at the Brexit results England was 53.4% leave but London and the surround area was most of the Remain vote. Scotland was 62% remain and all areas of Scotland was 'mostly remain'. This left a lot of Scots feeling ignored like the abused partner in a relationship and pushing for the second inty ref, especially since Westminster (The Parliment in England) passed a law to exclude Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (The British part of Ireland) from effecting laws that effect English citizens though the English politicans still can and do affect the others.
The bill is called English Votes for English Laws, shortened to EVEL. Yes, it is pronounced 'evil'. This is what British cartoon villainy looks like in real life. (Sorry, too bias.)
Anyway, Brexit looks like a win for border control/racism, the first minister of Scotland has been very vocal about welcoming others to Scotland whether they are English, EU, middle eastern or wherever. (least she is on FB and Twitter. For some reason the BBC seem to forget to report this.) Scotland could be pro-Xers... or on the other hand we want to get rid of the nuclear weapons England keeps up here to keep the English safe from it, so maybe Westminster has some sort of work programme for more danger Xers to be employeed in Scotland...?
Wales...is overlooked...but politically I believe it's trying to work with Scotland. They were majority leave on Brexit though.
N. Ireland is 55.8% remain and from what I understand it's mainly because of border control. People commute over the border casually and if/when Brexit actually happens, that would be harder/more expensive. If you look at the map of the results, all the areas around the border is remain.
