Which is sad as Aabria had an awesome character, and I really wanted to hear more of her! *mixed emotions*

You can't control what others do. You can only control your reaction to it.

I have realized there are some things I have a hard time with. While it might be fitting the setting, I really can't stand Gina's characters. When she cast that Smite spell/prayer, I stopped the recording and did not restart it. I have had enough of bigoted, racist and christian bullies who tell others what do to, and use violence to fuel xenophobia. Especially in the US of today. "I did it to save you" WTF!! I just can't stand to have that in my games. I'm pretty sure Gina is a totally sensible and cool individual (I just want to point out I have nothing against her), and it's perfectly fitting behaviour for her character. But, I can't listen and enjoy MoT with the kind of religious fucktard characters she has played so far. Now I'm sad. I can say definitively that no, Gina does not feel about people or things the way her character does, but Gina is portraying a religious zealot in a time when religious zealotry was rampant and wide spread. She sets aside her own sensibilities for what the character would think, and what her character saw was not opportunity, but a creature of evil, and temptation. Not a person, but a demon. It may not fit someone's modern day sensibilities, it certainly doesn't fit Gina's but it does fit the time, and the place, and circumstance. As always, just my 2 krupplenicks on the subject, your mileage may of course vary. JiB

I have had no impression of her as anything but a sensible person, and I'm sad because I can't shake that feeling of disgust I got. I *know* it's not her, but the character! I am actually pretty impressed by the way she clearly separated herself from her character. Gina is a better actor than I am. I remember myself how I felt when I first played Dogs in the Vineyard, where you have to play a religious zealot. It squirmed and tried to weasel myself out of the hard decisions, and our GM had to corner me to act. It was very uncomfortable, and also very enlightening of what a rpg could be. I would have hated to listen to that session to... Damn, gina , you play your character too well, I can't listen too it!

My old rusty brain just remembered what Stu's Fae Queen reminded me of, wrong hair color, but otherwise...
