To be perfectly frank, my samplings of Youtoobers is watching or listening to what my daughter is watching. So my sample is even more skewed, as my teenage daughter LOVES drama. So, you're saying she's a normal teenage girl?

The guy in the video is a known liar and has his own scandal where I heard he was "forgiven by jesus", thus all his trolling of other channels is okay. Basically, he's kind of a garbage human being. This is the kind of guy who talks nice to your face and stabs you in the back. Two persons with the same story, it does look more credible. It's not an issue of credibility. The guy who made the first video is a slimeball. He can be correct and a slimeball.

I tried to understand what’s going on by going to the reddit thread and reading about it on the Googlers. I don’t get why these guys think they have to make a special video just to say they aren’t using Roll20 anymore. Do they think their that important and famous that they need to do this?

As I am given to understand, at least one of them was responding to people asking.
Also, don't they stream their games? If so, then people would absolutely notice and ask, publicly. This way they get out ahead of it.

I think Roll20 did nothing wrong. And saying that he won't let them back because of the way they acted during the kerfuffle is not very gracious of them but it's not out of line with any other online provider. Once you have gotten into it with them they're not going to risk letting you back in and finding out they were right to ban you when you do some other bad thing.

Well, being in a position to run your own reddit, or any other third-party platform like that, isn't wrong per se.
But it does put those running it in a moral quandary.
Do they act as impartial stewards of the subreddit?
Or do they use it to quash critical speech?
They did the latter.
It's the equivalent of being caught with your thumb on the scale.

Also, let's not forget that the guy who complained about being wrongly banned had done literally nothing wrong, his only "transgression" was having a user name that was very similar to another user's. Then, when he was mistakenly banned because of the other user's behavior, he tried to appeal to the people from Roll20, who proceeded to basically just dick around with him and when he insisted that he wasn't the guy who was supposed to be banned, the Roll20 guys decided to use that as an excuse to avoid having to admit they had made a mistake. It just made them look incredibly juvenile and spiteful.
Also, if someone wrongly accused me of doing something wrong that I know I didn't do, I would consider myself (or anyone else really) well within my right to fight against that and defend myself. I don't believe that people who are wrongly accused of something should just bow their heads and quietly submit.
