I am currently running a SW RIFTS campaign in which my P.C.s are about to pull off (or try) the poisoning of a Mind Melted warlord at a high stakes poker game. They have been hired through the (PC) Juicer with underworld ties by another warlord and is part of a "Triangular Power Grab" involving yet another warlord. This is a for profit gig and will get the party favor with the higher ups in the Underworld.
Warlord Triangle: "A"= Madame Butterfly (high end Madame/ smuggler) "B"= Rory Breaker (Drugs and Guns / Just like the movie LS2SB) "C"= S. Nakamura (Mafia/ Yakuza Boss/ $$$ / Tech)
Back Story: "B" is selling drugs to "A's" girls and with "B" gone "C" can overtake the drug market and stop making the one particular drug killing "A's" girls.
The player who is leaving (Because of a house purchase) is another Mind Melter of lower rank and the rest of the PC characters are:
Crazy, Juicer, MARS vagabond, and Mystic.
Their plan is to occupy a server and slip the (provided poison) to the target via his cocktail.
I dont want to dramatically alter the game (TPK) and the success (yes/no) of the hit doesn't break any overarching story goals. I have no attachment to the NPCs and looking for a memorable way to send my player off!
Gillsing: Interesting fact about a movie that put me to sleep the first two times I tried to watch it at RPG cons. The third time I managed to stay awake, and was disappointed. Everyone seemed to like it so much. But apparently it was not for me. Story of my life.
