Backed.
I flippin' loved that game when I was a kid.
I think Rick Loomis is the guy who comes out to the Strategicon conventions (He's only a few hours' drive from it).
They've reprinted the "Lost Worlds" books as well. It's a man to man fighting game much like Ace of Aces, but Fantasy melee.
I picked up a handful of them at the last convention.

15/25 with 12 to go. I would like to see Rick make this goal. The extras would be nice too.
He outlined how he went about this kickstarter on LinkedIN. If anyone has other ideas for him, I am sure he'd welcome the comments.

Those Lost Worlds books got licensed by a Japanese company called Hobby Japan. But of course, being Japanese, they couldn't just leave the books as they were, but instead had to change all the characters into busty anime chicks. Thus, in 2005, was born the Queen's Blade line of game books, also know as "visual book for duel". The story (if it can be considered as such) revolves around a continent wide tournament held every four years and open to every woman above a certain age. The winner of the fighting tournament become queen for the next four years. Hence the name, Queen's Blade. There are over 20 characters, a few of which are shown below. The books work exactly the same as the original Lost Worlds or Ace of Aces books from Flying Buffalo. You pick a character, swap books with an opponent, and call out attack moves that correspond to a number grid on a character chart. You then flip to the corresponding page and the illustration represents what your character sees. Of course, being Japanese and trying to attract all the mouth-breathing, girlfriend-less, backpack-wearing nerds who eat this shit up with a spoon, the hits on your character don't really result in damage. They result in a loss of clothing. As illustrated below. ;D In case you were wondering, the above images are fairly tame, though none of the illustrations in the books depict actual nudity. But they come damn close. The Queen's Blade franchise has become wildly popular (gee, I wonder why), spawning two TV anime series, several video games, trading cards, a collectible card game, a library of manga and "light novels", action figures, PVC statues, "cushioned" mouse pads, and all kinds of other assorted nerd junk. And before anyone asks, no. I don't own any of the Queen's Blade books. My girlfriend would absolutely murder me if I did. I *do* have all of the action figures stashed up in a corner of my closet though. ;D

He's so close to his goal with a little over 2 days left(as of Friday the 20th).
It would be a shame if this doesn't get funded.
