I just finished watching Season One of Caprica.
It was very good.
Syfy is a bunch of douchebags for cancelling it.

I really should watch it at some point, especially if its actually good. When it first came out I avoided it due to how much they'd messed up the end of BSG.

Once I started it, I couldn't stop watching it.
They go into the origins of the virtual personalities, the religious aspect of the Cylons, etc.
You get to see the Tauron culture (in Cmdr Adama's dad and brother), which is like watching the Sopranos.
They developed some awesome characters.
The series was cancelled before they filmed the second season, but there is a sort of teaser for Season 2 at the end of the final episode.

The wife and I were fans of BSG so we were eager for Caprica. It took a while for us to get into, because it was so radically different and none of our favorite characters were in it - but we were really enjoying it when it got cut. They did a kind of story-wrap-up which I was very unsatisfied with, but at least they got to say something of the 'ending' in the last ep they were allowed.
I did not like James Marsters character, though. Bleh. Boring and predictable. That's not our Spike!

Think I'll have to try and pick this up in the new year then, especially if they're still pressing ahead with Blood and Chrome series as well.
