I've only run one game using the alternative rules from the Ultimate Combat guide and because I haven't been running Pathfinder I haven't had much chance to really see how they play out. I like them conceptually, but I'm curious if anyone has tried them out with any regularity to see how they work. Thoughts comments observations Cheers, JiB

No - I've been looking at them myself - I'd love to hear from someone who has actually played using them.

No - I've been looking at them myself - I'd love to hear from someone who has actually played using them. The one play test I did with them made three things true 1. More hits / no more intrinsic harm being done 2. More book keeping and calculations 3. Magic wins JiB

For the most part, it seems that magic wins anyways... I'm more for less book keeping than more.
Although pathfinder is what I play and GM right now... My personal taste is for the simple ol school game style where the games were played by rulings instead of rules...
