Assuming I can go (and I really want to), I think I've been voluntold to run a Miami Vice Vampire Game.
Seeing as how I've never watched the show... I've got some catching up to do. Netflix to the rescue!

I have sent my two games in:
1. "In Conflict Bound" a Sci-Fi game in Hero System where the pc's are slaves trying to break free of their bonds.
2. "The Rule of Magic" A fantasy murder mystery in Pathfinder that takes place in a college of magic. Most decidedly not Hogwarts.

Anybody else planning on running games for Orccon 2013, and if so, what are they?

I'm running Ghostbusters LA: Return of the Hipsters and a dungeon crawl hack-n-slash.
Both in Savage Worlds.
The dungeon crawl is a Friday night game -- a slugfest to get out your Friday night traffic frustration.
Saturday's for Ghostbusters.

So ... I was considering running a couple of games myself. I haven't run an RPG game at the con in ... well Shadowrun was brand new the last time I ran con games. That should give you an idea. That said, I had a couple questions:
1. What do I need in order to submit the games to Strategicon? 2. What would I need to do to qualify these as "Happy Jack" games, if possible?
I'm planning on using Savage Worlds for both games as it's easy to prep & easy to learn.
Another Bug Hunt - Players are Colonial Marines sent to investigate a Weyland-Yutani research installation that the coorporation has lost all contact with. Should be an easy mission, right?
Head of the Class - The players are students at Sleepy Hollow High. What happens when the legend isn't just a tale? The Horseman has returned and unless you can stop him, you may be his next victim.

I've dropped the Miami Vice game. I'm working on a couple of ideas... not sure yet which I'll be able to implement. Stay tuned!

1. What do I need in order to submit the games to Strategicon?
Go to Strategicon.net and set up an create an account. I don't remember if they have to approve the account or not. Log in and click on "Run an Event." There's a big form that's pretty self-explanatory.
2. What would I need to do to qualify these as "Happy Jack" games, if possible?
At the bottom of the "Run an Event" form is a place for comments. Put a note in there that it's a Happy Jacks affiliated game. You can also note that in the title for the game as well. If you want people to be able to sign up for all your player slots, note that in the comments section as well -- otherwise preregistration will be limited to 1/2 of the seats you put down.

Head of the Class (Savage Worlds) Students at Sleepy Hollow High learn what happens when the legend isn't just a tale. I'm seriously considering a couple of other games but first I need to nail these down.

Waiting to find out days & time on both. So, does this mean people who are running games at Strategicon events can't choose the day and time of those games? I just started a thread in the General sub-forum (though I probably should have put here) about the details of Strategicon events, as I an hellbent on going to Gateway 2013. So when you register to run a game, can you choose the day and time? Or is that chosen for you by the organizers?
