First time poster, working my way from the very start and now at season 3 ep 02
It took a while but I was able to copy GURPS LITE into a doc and format it the same as the PDF. I'm making a specific GURPS Lite which is setting specific starting with Low Tech.
I need help determining what to put in it. I've expanded the combat rules to include the Basic Set Character's Combat Rules, and added and remove disads, ads, and skills not relevant to the setting and plan to make templates and background packages....
I'm afraid I will have page bloat and lose the LITE aspect of the booklet but I'm in a great opportunity to add helpful details: Like a random character gen table inspired by Harn and Background packages.

Personally, I wouldn't include the random generators in the LITE document, though it could make a good attachment. Of more import is whether you're going to include any magic in the setting, in which case you'll want to include a summary of the spell rules and a short spell list (perhaps just the list from the Basic Set). As long as it's strictly for your own group's use there shouldn't be any trouble with copywrite, though if you plan on distributing it online it would be best to leave out the spell effects and just list which spells are available. Something else to consider is whether you'll be using the Basic Set armors, or the more accurate versions from Low Tech. In the latter case, you'll need to design a few typical sets (Dan Howard's Instant Armor pdf would help here) that the players can choose from if they don't want to design their own. Again, that should be fine as long as you're not distributing the document outside your gaming group.

Rename it GURPS Lite + There is no problems having a little more stuff in a homemade document.

Thanks vierasmarius and Seb. I'll do that, the random generation tables don't really fit the data organization of the document. Currently making a non-magical version of Gurps Low Tech Lite, since I would not know how to begin or balance it. I'm from the simulationist school of RPG, btw.
I simplified some rules for purposes of the low tech. particularly creating a method of Retainer/Vassalship. Blackboxing them as a source of manpower, revenue/commodities, and others
I'll make random character creation an attachment, house and manor generation, and maybe magic a separate attachment if I figure out how to organize it. I plan to make a spreadsheet with all the equipment so that it will help people list and weigh their equipment.
I've included Patrons, Contacts, Allies, Enemies, and Secret which was not in the original gurps Lite. I'm trying to budget for a max of 40pages. completely without art.
Will add a some rules for clothing and armor sizes.
