I've got to admit, I didn't *want* to like this stuff... and I'd be hard pressed to say why. It just sounded like a weird idea, the way you wrote it.
But I finally listened... and that's pretty freaking awesome stuff! Sort of Blind Guardians meets the Ren Faire.

Yeah, by purist standards, it's not true A Capella, due to the use of a drum kit. I know plenty of A Capella groups that would and could deal with the drum line via vocal percussion.
Still, I love seeing groups that take A Capella in a direction away from standard Glee Club or bubblegum pop stuff. I remember a group from CalTech called Echphonema which did Meatloaf and Metallica covers A Capella. It's also cool that this is a mixed group — it helps having both sopranos and basses in any group (altos and tenors, too).
