Maybe you can have an episode discussing online / virtual tabletops NOT from the angle of tools, but from the angle of designing game sessions (one-off or campaigns) that are suited or take advantage of the fact that everyone is online.
What can you do online that makes it more interesting or quirky or otherwise that isn't done in person? (other than be naked waist down without causing stares)
What types of scenarios may be well suited to this? What type of role play? Anything interesting that can be done with horror? Suspense? Every have a GM that jumps out of camera and dons garb related to the NPC? etc.
Example I just thought of (feel free to use someone!!!): an RPG/LARP where where everyone is a fighter pilot (WW I or II squadron, or space opera squadron like in BSG or traveller or whatever). Basically everyone is seeing each other on their video feeds in the cockpits... helmet and cockpit making time!

I agree. I've been an advocate of VTT's for a while now, but I do see them being mostly used as a table replacement. Like any new medium, there is potential to grow beyond just being an emulation of an old way. It has been said many times that it can not replace a group of people sitting around a table having a social event, but there are advantages that you can not get at a table as well. I have spelled out my own little way of making it more like a media presentation in a few posts, so I will not redo it here.
What I would like to know is if anyone has any other ideas on how VTT's could be taken advantage of for flavor, RP'ing, etc. I need to hear other brains talk about how they can use VTT's to make the experience better. The obvious advantages being time(Tappy once said 2 hour of online gaming was equal to many times that with a real life gathering), and mathematical computation. There should be much more.
