So I am having an argument with one of my players about a magic weapon he is making. the weapons is a Heavy Flail with Impact and shock.
He is adding it up thus: 15 gp for the weapon 300 gp for the masterwork 2,000 gp for the +1 enhancement 8,000 gp for the Impact enhancement 2,000 gp for the shock bringing to a total of 12315 gp
Now I don't think is fully right. I wanted to get another source of input. to put this argument to rest. Thanks for any help.

According to the Pathfinder SRD, that thing's the equivalent of a +5 weapon, which is gonna run him 50,000 gp. Edited to add: Oh, and don't forget the extra 315 gp for the masterwork weapon.

I see it as a +4 weapon. Enhancement: +1 Impact : +2 Shock: +1 Total: +4 = 32,000 Plus masterwork and base cost Grand total: 32,315. [Half that to craft it if he has the skills/feat(s)]
The way the OP shows is taking each ability and counting it as if it was the only thing to pay for. But when making a weapon you don't do it like that... you add all the abilities together THEN check the chart and get the weapon's cost.

Yeah, when creating it all at once like that it's a package deal, not a la carte.

Right you are, fray. I added impact's footnote # by mistake.

All of that is assuming standard availability (that it is readily available) if it's not the price would go up by multiples.
