OK, pinnacle's PDF store. Let's say I am going to get a setting book, and I already have Necessary Evil, Evernight, Solomon Kane, and Deadlands:Reloaded.
Which one should I chose from that site? I got $20 in credit from there...
edit:I forgot, I HAVE Solomon Kane...

Should clarify:
1. I will spend more than $20 since many of them are $25
2. I want to find a good one for One Shot Games...

So, it looks like your choices are from: 1) 50 fathoms 2) Pirates of the Spanish Main 3) Space 1889 4) Solomon Kaine 5) Deadlands: Noir 6) Deadlands: HoE 7) Rippers 8) Slipstream 9) Weird Wars Now we add in your desire for one-shot-ability mix with my own personal opinions and viola! Rippers. reason: The setting is easy to get your head around. Just tell the players to think Frankenstein or Count Dracula, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The one-shot scenarios are pretty easy to come up with, a la monster of the week format. You can dive in as much or as little as you like to things like status, rippertech, or the included plot point campaign. negative: It uses the old damage rules, like Evernight, so you'll need to convert some things. I could easily make a case for Slipstream or 50 fathoms, based on player preference. And I have to say, I really like Space 1889. But, Rippers is my answer to your question. (hope I've muddied the waters sufficiently for you

Waters muddled, sir.
Actually, I was tempted to go with Deadlands Noir if it was worth it but Rippers does seem like a viable option, and I can adapt the damage easily enough...

Sounds like there's a new release of Rippers coming soon. Not sure if you want to wait for that updated one.

I have Deadlands Noir as the PDF and I have Weird Wars in hardcover, and I have to say that both are really fun. Deadlands Noir combines some of the creepiness of Deadlands with that kind of gritty noir detective story, although I have to vote for Weird Wars. Its got a pulp feel, and my gaming group has had a blast playing it so far. I haven't gotten to introduce any of the arcane backgrounds yet, and I know that will just immerse them even more So, I vote for more Wierd Wars (The one I have is Wierd War 2, Tour of Darkness would be just as fun I think!)

Slipstream is fabulous if you want to do a pulpy scifi game a la Buck Rogers.
Sundered Skies is a very interesting fantasy type setting with magically powered sky ships.
