www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/pax-imperiaThe pitch: The Galactic Imperium, led by the Heavenly Empress, rules the known galaxy with an iron fist. Her legions patrol the spaceways, maintaining order, and ensuring that the local governments stay in line. One planet, however, refuses to acknowledge the Heavenly Empresses' rule. Sanctum has become a refuge for dissidents and rebels. The Imperial Legions are bringing their considerable forces to bear on this one world, determined to make an example of them. Heroes and freedom fighters gather, hoping to prove that the Empress isn't all powerful. My characters are a Ninja sent by her "family" to determine if they should back the rebellion or the Empress a pirate captain an escapee from a cosmetics conglomerate who was bio-engineered by said congolmerate a spy a criminal mastermind

So, the first adventure had the Legions warping into the system, and taking over the orbital space station above Sanctum. Each of the PCs were there at the time, and wound up on the same shuttle escaping the station. Onyx (the ninja) signed up to work with Mr. Peaches (criminal mastermind and well known animal lover). He contracted Amitola (escapee), Diego (space pirate) and Blaine (spy) to help him transport some "tiger food" (read weapons) to the circus "Le Resistance".
I want to run this as a pretty sandboxy game, where the PCs are the one's who decide who, what, and all that jazz. But I'm looking for some toys to toss into the sandbox for them to play with.
The game is supposed to feel very Star Wars-y. The Imperium is a mix of Chinese and Roman flavour. Earth is now a gigantic Forbidden City, where the Heavenly Empress lives. The Legions are very Roman-esque, in appearance.
I'm going to introduce the "magic" of the system, Wayfinder Adepts, who are able to shift through and manipulate probabilities. Fighting one of the Adepts should be a surreal experience, as Murphy's Law seems to kick into overdrive.
