That's a nice article. Thanks for the link. I wonder where that number is now ? After 4E... I also love the reference to dank basements...As I lived 15-18...in a Basement. Our gaming room was called The Pit. I made my 4x8 gaming table in shop class and there were swords and maps on the walls. Thanks for supporting me parents!

My argument for any video gamer to play a tabletop rpg is, "How many times have you said, I wish I could do this when this happens? well, in a tabletop rpg thats all you do." That usually gets them interested enough to start talking about favorite game settings and types of characters they like. Then you can just shoe horn them in to a relevant system and give them the gamer bug.

Yep.
One of the best things WOTC have done is licence the d&d name to bioware for videogame development. That alone resulted in many new gamers - myself included.
