After a little deliberation, I've decided what I want to run.
System: Mongoose Traveller
Setting: Tri-Imperium (see note at end)
Players: 2-6
Unification
In the galaxies of the Tri-Imperium, the Grey Zone stands as a buffer between three large, hungry empires. It's a place where men go to be forgotten, or to be remembered... sometimes under a new name. The Grey Zone lives by their own creed and their own Code: It's yours, if you can defend it.
Over generations, people have consolidated power over territories, domains, and sometimes even whole planets. And those domains are theirs. If they can defend it.
Recently, on a planet known locally as Hitch, the local population has got to thinking. There are certain advantages to organizing themselves on a larger scale than a family or two, and there are opportunities for a planet on a direct trade line between the three empires that can boast a modicum of public safety and some amenities for the hoity toity imperial types.
You are all in the running to lead a new government on Hitch. You will be participating in a resurrected ancient practice called "election", where you prove to the people around you that you're the most capable of defending Hitch, her people and their livelihoods. You'll be performing a series of trials to prove yourselves. At the end, you get a planet, and the loyalty of a few thousand people. Unless you can't defend it.
(this game takes place in my Tri-Imperium campaign setting, and will be incorporated into the setting's history. You can take a look at the wiki at Datacan 15 for more information about the background, setting and history, but you won't need to read it if you don't want to.)
