No keyboard anywhere...Was soll's, here we go:
The B.P.R.D. RPG (aka the Hellboy RPG) The characters are either "normal" special agents with occult knowledge/training, or special agents with special/occult abilities. Systems: - i ran this for two sessions in Unisystem (Buffy/Angel RPG) back in the day - then there is the old GURPS Sourcebook - Savage Worlds - Ubiquity - Wild Talents - WoD - Fate

Star Wars..... but you act as collection agents during the economic downturn that HAD TO of occurred after the first Death Star(Research Station) was destroyed. The Empire uses the "Great Recession" to take up private corps.
The characters are only paper pushers. You run the game with World Of Darkness Rules.

THE STARS ARE RIGHT WARS
Simple. Star Wars characters meet horrors beyond their imagination. Path to dark side (originally done in D6 but can be adapted) doubles as a sanity resource, since those who give themselves over to the Dark Side in this version are actually giving themselves over to madness.
When KOTOR used to hint at "The true Sith" we just always envisioned them being Cthonic horrors....

I guess I'll keep the Star Wars theme going. Please note, there is no attention paid to extended universe continuity.
I keep kicking around an idea where the PCs are brought out of stasis/carbonite/plot-freeze at the beginning. They're all somewhat Force-trained, have a lightsaber, and some other job (medic, pilot, etc.). Their memories aren't complete, but they either know or are told by a droid that if they've been activated, there's a problem. The only reason they get activated is if there is a danger to society and they have to remove whoever is in charge by whatever means necessary.
As they go about plotting what is likely an assassination, they start to piece together the missing memories and things that were kept from them. They were all part of a doomsday plan by Darth Vader in case the Emperor betrayed him. The timer kept counting down, but would reset if Vader entered a code. Vader dies, a few months later the counter runs out, and everybody wakes up. Now their Force-powered brainwashing kicks in and they really want to kill whoever is in charge. That was supposed to be the Emperor, not these generally nice Rebel people.

Dresden Files RPG - Four apprentice mages are left to their own devices when their master suddenly keels over due to a heart attack. Left to their own devices, they decide that they can put their meager skills to use fighting the supernatural out in the open...
Ghostbusters, as mage apprentices.

I'm working on a Star Wars EotE game right now and I've been thinking about cyborgs in the SW universe. Vader, Grievous, even Luke was on the road. Anyway perhaps a game where the PCs are each at least fifty percent cybernetic or more and get caught up in the cause of Droid liberation ? I often wonder about the existence of AI in the SW world. I don't seem to find much mention of sentient computers just droids. Anyway not to fill the morgue with droid carcasses...Just like the idea of PCs as cyborgs in a world that treats sentient machines like slaves.

Here's a premise that I've tried running now 4 times and every time the game dies on the vine. Maybe one of you will have better luck:

Been absent a while, new kid and all. But I'm working on a game that uses 5e in the Pathfinder setting.
A city near the center of a supernaturally strong arctic locala is the only bastion in the area. At the very center of this city is an everburning bonfire. Not only does this flame burn so hot and holy that within city walls is it eternally spring, but all that try to commit murder are either struck dead or fail miserably in their attempt.
A corrupted Pathfinder is leading a dig at the center of the abnormal winter, not too far from the city. 4 archeologists are helping him decipher four towers that are supposedly able to end the winter. He knows of the treasure buried within, but not the curse.
In ancient times, the area was the seat of an empire whose descendants are the barely civilized winter trolls of the region. This empire destroyed itself when a Darakghul plague began taking hold. The plague was a result of cursed gold taken as loot from the ancient empire's conquests. In an attempt to halt the plague, mages froze then entire area, sealing the capital in a gigantic glacier. The four towers are chambers holding Giant Fire Salamanders that pull all the heat from the surrounding land and will continue to do so until freed. They have grown quite mad in the past 1000 years.
Close to uncovering how to end the winter, 3 of the archeologist are murdered in a city where it is impossible to murder. The fourth is missing and the Pathfinder has requested assistance in finding the suspect: the missing archeologist.

More Star Wars:
The players are Imperial soldiers, who ace their first mission and are rewarded with the primo, A-1 post in the Empire.
The Death Star...on its shakedown cruise to Alderaan.
