How do referees do the housekeeping for dynamic initiative in Traveller? I seem to recall one Happy Jacks podcast where someone said they used a magnetic whiteboard! I think I've seen a die left in front of a player to indicate a character's current initiative value at TravCon 2010. www.bitsuk.net/Travelling/Travelling.htmlWhat system do you use to indicate current initiative in Traveller combat and why? How do you alter initiative as people use haste etc? Thanks for your thoughts. Lindsay Jackson

I use a GameMastery Combat Pad (http://paizo.com/store/byCompany/o/openMindGames/v5748btpy8bkr) for running Pathfinder and figure it ought to work in Traveller combat as well. I'll let you know as soon as my players start a ruckus.

Just a piece of paper out in view of the players. I attached one from our game Friday night. It was four enforcers with big weapons & armor busting in on the players in the middle of a card game. "H" = hastening "OH" = on hold Attachments:

Many thanks - I loved the low-tech cheap approach! I'll be using it at TravCon 2012 this weekend.
