Just to recap the rules for the Swords & Wizardry Appreciation Day contest: I want to see your best 1-2 page Swords & Wizardry compatible encounter. It needs to be something which any S&W DM can drop into their game when a quick encounter is needed. So there should be a little bit of a story, maybe a twist, a small map, etc., not just "here's three orcs in a cave". It should be something similar to a 1 page dungeon (http://onepagedungeon.info) but instead of a full dungeon, just one awesome encounter, the immediate encounter environment - whether that's in a dungeon, the woods, the basement of an abandoned inn, a haunted homestead, or whatever - and details on how the encounter came to be. I don't want to say things like, "entries over 2 pages will be disqualified" or "entries using 8 point font will be disqualified", but please limit your entries to 2 pages or less and use a normal font size. I have to read and judge all these things after all. Submit your entries to tim at happyjacks dot org no later than Saturday the 25th of April, and I will announce the winners on the May 1st podcast. The first place winner will receive a copy of Barrel Rider Games' WhiteBox Omnibus in hardcover; the runner-up will receive the same book in softcover. I'm sure we'll post the winning encounters somewhere for all to see, as well. Thanks in advance for playing, and best of luck to you.

Australia and New Zealand, if they had a Facebook page their relationship would be listed as ' it's complicated'. A cricket win by Australia in The Ashes is a win for NZ BUTon the other hand, when it comes to cricket, ' underarm??? REALLY!!!!! - Yoooou Fuckas!'. A good example is Russel Crowe who, like myself, was born in NZ but grew up/lives in Australia and identifies himself as Australian, as does Australia . . . except when he makes an international tit of himself (ref:' Fightin' Around the World with Russell Crowe') Aaron PS: As to backwards . . . well we think the northern hemisphere is the bottom and note that Australia/NZ sees each day first . . . so you are all actually behind us ( international date line for those that are wondering WTF I'm talking about)

And here is the Manowar song - Battle Hymns - that I referenced in the 'cast: Tell me that is not the most metal thing you've ever heard, and the absolute ultimate D&D combat song. VICTORY! VICTORY! OH OH OH OHHHHH!

On the topic of NPCs arguing with each other: I have used a non-player (my wife) as one of the NPCs, where she and I bickered across my kitchen table. <Insert joke here> It only took a couple of minutes' time to brief her on her role, and the scene worked out very well.
