Hey kiddies,
Strategicon / Gamex 2015 is right around the corner (May 22-25 weekend). Jim Sandoval just send out an email about Games on Demand, and mostly he will be trying to get that going on Saturday and Sunday, however I have something I'd like to run on Friday...
I am planning on running my space Lego "Distress on Life Liner 928" game, however it doesn't fit well in the 4 hour slots they usually have for RPGs. The four times I've run it so far has shown me it's more of a 6-8 hour game. Each time we played about 5 1/2-6 hours, and every time the players wished they had more time.
I know Friday can be tricky (work and traffic), but I can do a Friday 2-7:30pm, or even start earlier than 2pm if people were interested and able to get there on time.
Alternatively, I could run it as a double-feature (use both 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm slots on Saturday), and I don't mind doing that, but I know it's a heavy commitment for players (those are both prime time slots).
Unfortunately can't run it Sunday cause my daughter shows up mid-day and then I'm on daddy duty.
So, with that said, I'm looking for players, and trying to gauge some demand. Anyone interested?
Details:
Players: Maximum 4
System: Savage Worlds / Star Frontiers
Description: "You have just received a distress signal from zoological expedition Life Liner 928. How fortunate! As scrap and salvage, this is your bread and butter, and everyone's got to pay their bills; and if you find any survivors, that means bonus credits! The captain has set a direct course. Get your Albedo Screen, your Sonic Disruptor, and a Stimdose ready, for this Star Frontiers / Savage Worlds, space-based, Lego dungeon crawl."
And to toot my own horn, here's Jim mentioning the game on HJRPG season 14 episode 10.
