I'm recruiting players for an Google+ hangout game, played on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 8-10p EDT, weekly.
The system is Palladium Fantasy 1st ed. Before they broke it.
It's a d20 variant that has been called the best house-ruled D&D ever. Unlike most d20 systems, it has active defense, armor is ablative, and AR actually does something. For example:
Any attack over a 4 on a d20 is a "hit". (I mean really how hard IS it to hit someone with a weapon... Defender rolls parry, trying to roll higher than the attack roll. If the defender fails and the attack roll is below the defender's AR, damage is applied to the armor, otherwise to the defender themselves. As armor gets damaged, the AR goes down. It can be repaired, somewhat.
Also there are magic variants, circles and wards, runes and words of power, and <shudder> psychics!
But seriously it's a fun system that Palladium developed back in the early 80's, before the whole 'megaverse' of RIFTS.
I intend to play weekly for 2 hours at a stretch, and I'd like 4 or 5 players.
So.... Who's in?
