And everyone has to have a Realism Line. In a non-Supers game I wouldn't let someone jump over a tall building in a single bound no matter how many raises they got. Of course. I'm just... amazed that so many people's realism line is making the TN to hit a character with a missile a point or two better because they're fast and agile or whatever, all other things being equal. That's a far cry from letting a normal dude jump over a tall building. Seems just as ridiculous to me to say a normal person is dodging arrows like they're being thrown at him by an old woman. Because he is agile? quick? skinny? You can run a game like that in SW, but I don't think it is the norm of SW. I believe Toon would work a little better. But like I said on G+, why all this concern or Range vs Melee. A better argument is why is a Spear the same as a dagger.

Seems just as ridiculous to me to say a normal person is dodging arrows ... Because he is agile? quick? skinny? Ah, you're totally misunderstanding the point. It's not a question of someone dodging arrows once they've been loosed, it's a question of whether or not the archer should have a harder time targeting someone in the first place - before the arrow is loosed - because they're inherently faster and more agile than someone who is not. As I just finished saying on G+, once the arrow is loosed it's too late; the shooting roll has already been made. But, across the board, this is now becoming a circular argument and losing any value it might have once had. When I run, I use the RAW but I'm not so tied into Savage Worlds as the perfect system that I can't see where some other players might take issue with the RAW. You - and many others here and on G+ - do not agree and think the RAW are a perfect way of handling it and that people who don't agree are wrong. So, that's cool, let's just leave it at that, shall we?

Tim you missed the episode where n season 13 where people came to their senses on the podcast and respected savage worlds for being able to do a fantasy campaign.

They need to add a dedicated AC stat so we can argue about that instead.

They need to add a dedicated AC stat so we can argue about that instead. You made me laugh and then I got sad. Five freaking editions and we still can't get away from that dumb mechanic.

That's actually already covered in the rules as written. It's referred to as "Having the Drop" on an enemy. Please turn to page 72 in the holy writ The Drop Sometimes an attacker is able to catch a foe off-guard and gets “the drop” on him. This usually happens at a distance of only a few feet, but other situations may occur (a sniper on a nearby rooftop). Only the GM can determine when one character has obtained this kind of advantage over another. Usually it’s when the victim is in the classic hostage pose, is completely unaware of the danger, or has been caught unarmed by an armed foe. The attacker is considered on Hold and adds +4 to his attack and damage rolls should he decide to strike. What the book does not cover in detail is what constitutes having the drop? Usually, it's a result of a failed notice vs stealth check, but it's left very open for the gm to determine. Cheers, JiB Damnit JiB all this reminds me I want you to run an SW game on the G+. Also I want it to be at time that is good for me on the East Coast. Also while I wishing for things that wont happen I would like tonight's Traveller Character gen to go well for my PC. These are very doable things. These things can be made to happen. JiB

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. What sort of game would you like? Any particular genre or themes? JiB Wow. uhh...anything but Tolkien fantasy. Scifi and Horror are cool, but I also have never played Deadlands. If there's anything you had an idea for I'm down. But while we're spit balling and I truly appreciating your offer I just wanted to say that I probably could not do this until August.

Although I generally find chihuahuas to be annoying, obnoxious fucks. .

Sadly once again Jackercon's schedule is the opposite of mine. I know it's a week, but it happens to be the most contentious week this month. C'est la vie. I'm not going to complain though I've been playing/running about one game a week for a few months. Plus a few board game days thrown in here and there. Life's all sunny here.

No!? I imagine it being like "The Prisoner" you how every episode he's trying to escape the Village. In Westworld every episode they try to kill Yul Brynner.
