Surprised this hadn't been posted already given but it seems there are big changes coming to our favourite samurai world as FFG have bought the rights to both the RPG and the CCG. Not sure what they'll be doing with the RPG but it looks like the CCG will be transitioning to their LCG model in the future www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2015/9/11/a-new-emperor-rises/

Drat. Now they'll make a new RPG with custom dice and I'll really never talk my group into playing it.

I'm keen on the LCG, might make me pick up that side of the game again. I am scared though for the RPG...

Judging by some of the stuff I've read from AEG & FFG, it looks like FFG will be be concentrating on a new LCG first, and if it does well, a new RPG will_maybe_follow. At least we'll always have 4th Edition.

At least we'll always have 4th Edition. They've already announced on twitter shortly after the acquisition that they are excited to do stuff with the RPG and already have plans Yeah, I read that too. I also read a statement from AEG that there were no definite plans for any RPG product until the LCG was finished, and that won't be until Gencon 2017. I understand that from a fiscal point of view. The CCG always made more money than the RPG, and FFG is a business after all. The team behind the Star Wars RPG's have done some amazing work, and a number of them have played both the card game and the RPG as well, so I think if they do it, they'll do a reasonable job. It just won't be for a very long time.
