Thanks B-Team for keeping it going during the renfaire! Filled what would've been a small gap in my life. Here's the Safe Place sign mentioned in the 'cast (not my idea, just my quick execution; thanks BrotherHue and crew):

We pride our sub standard rpg advice and on air shenanigans for being the methadone to the A-listers Oxycontin/heroin. Thanks for tuning in for some pretty heavy topics. Stu Venable May want to hit some of these things again with some the wonderful women gamers that grace the show. When we were done, I couldn't help but think of the Parks and Rec episode where they held an equality commission without any women there. It would be awesome to get their point of view on some of the topics.

Not seeing it yet either, am working on the assumption Stu hasn't caught up from the weekend yet and he'll post it soon...
...alternatively also willing to entertain the possibility that the B team forgot to record it :-P

Nice, my Email was read by the B-team... Mutant are both a setting and a ruleset, the rules were based on "Gamma world" but that was just the first edition (edition 5 or 6 now) and it is sort of dystopian diselpunk. Thanks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bratt_System

I commend the hosts for their approach on the horror story and misogyny and the ideas and ways we can combat it and affect change in our hobby.
I have some input. All this came after the same episode and hosts maligned "girly drinks" in a tone that suggests girly drinks are lesser drinks, which can then suggest that girls are lesser. I realize this is also carryover from the previous episode where the main hosts were maligning Tim and "girly drinks."
While I realize this was all in good fun, and these comments could probably be made safely in private conversation with females present when it's known it is not meant and non offensive to those involved. However, small things like this are the sediment on which the subconscious societal view that females are lesser is built.
It's VERY important to address the big, blatant bullshit like this Cartman guy from the email, but for real change, we also need to change the small, subconscious stuff that we (males) can easily overlook and take for granted with a quick "it's just a joke."

Wow, old email is old. As a follow up to my email, the party of that Savage Worlds game basically mentioned his character was making things tremendously not fun, and the player agreed. He's now playing a video game themed villain who is essentially Duke Nukem with a Pip-Boy and a Call of Duty exosuit driving a souped up FedEx truck with a flamethrower turret. So a lateral move, really. Edit: ChupacabraCon - Austin, TX - Fri, 13 May 2016 to Sun, 15 May 2016

Truth. All that small stuff adds up. This kind of mentality is built up over years...it will take some time to change. Cartman was made up of plenty of these "just a joke" ideas, which shows how that mentality can go really wrong, really quick. I think the first step is going to be something akin to what cadave did which is to ask the women he games with about things that he may not realize are hurtful/offensive and then adjusting accordingly. We need to be able to take criticisms and improve. We can't get caught up in a "Well I don't do that", if a friend and fellow gamer mentions that something is making them uncomfortable or is not cool, we should be able to take that at face value and adjust.
