I seem to remember that the conversation in one recent episode mentioned some player mats done by stork for Savage Worlds. I don't remember which episode so can not easily go back and see if it was talked about again. Anyone (including stork) have such things posted online somewhere? I'd love to see how others have done, as I'm thinking of producing my own.

i think you might be talking about the free combat survival guide. but it neglects to mention the rapid attack and suppressive fire maneuvers. rapid attack+wild attack is amazing against groups of low parry opponents.

This is the one I have been using. SWPlayer MatI took them to a local copy shop and had them laminated, but as Dave said, a laminater is cheap.

I like that cheat sheet... it'd be nice if they color coded it to match the "standard" (hah!) Didax educational polyhedral dice. I love taking sets of these in case I have players who don't know the difference between a d8 and a d10 (roll the WHITE one!) www.didax.com/shop/productdetails.cfm/ItemNo/173341/src/214/

I use those too. I put them in the back half of one of these My usualy lay out is Back story and background on the first page Character sheet on the second, you can stack sheets so if its a long one, like the Illustrated man with multiple animal forms, you just need to flip them over. Then the back two pages are the cheat sheets. Occasionally Ill put in weapon damage charts or something as well. I really recommend these folders. They are expensive, but you can reuse them. And if you work in a hospital or some large firm, they often just throw them out.

a combat survival guide is a must. though most GM's tell you that you really need a backstory. but your character doesn't. you simply need a series of personality traits as character guidelines. and i first thought mechanical hindrances were crippling. but with the exception of being blind or being a child that some of the purely personality based hindrances powergamers use to maximize their characters are especially crippling when enforced.

I hand this cheat sheet out to my players at Savage Saturday Night. It's very helpful and explains a lot of rules on one single sheet.
