I am currently watching a vendor logged in to my work PC upgrading one of our mission-critical systems. The screenplay is boring as shit and there's a distinct lack of any sort of characterization or conflict. Praise be to the Microsoft Surface so that I can actually do stuff. I heard the finale is satisfying though.

I'm going to put this the only way I know how:
MOTHERFUCKER!!!
The Expanse via Amazon Prime only has season 1 available! GODDAMMIT!
Just finished it and was looking forward to Season 2 (yeah, I read the first 2 books, so I know the story, but I wanted to see how they did it for the show. And it's good!

I realized I mentioned this series before, and I know I got cadave watching, but Fortitude continues to be an amazing and unsettling show. We've started with the second season and were initially relieved. Then we weren't.

We are certainly experiencing a renaissance in children's programming. I love this shit!
"I am Uranus and I say it with pride...ok I lied...cuz' I am the only planet lyin' on my side"
Brilliant shit.

Oh, and I'm now watching The Handmaid's Tale and it pisses me off and scares the shit out of me. With the new Trump's America we live in(not to mention the Tea Party) where all semblance of sanity has left the country, I can see this happening within my lifetime and that absolutely terrifies me.

More of my version of Iron Fist:
Cut to blonde man riding alongside another man in an ox-driven cart. It is still raining and trip is muddy. The driver is Tibetan and speaking English. The blonde is speaking Sino-Tibetan.
Driver: "Danny, this is a mistake." Danny: (Sino) "He is my father. I have an obligation." Driver: "You really need to start speaking English again." Danny: "Sorry. I just need to tend to his funeral and the company. Then I will be back." Driver: "It is ten days until the Challenge of the Weapons." Danny: "I know." Driver: "We are required to host it." Danny: "I know."
::silence::
Driver: "You need better shoes."
::Danny and the driver laugh:: Danny: "Even if I don't make it back in time, I know you'll win." Driver: (smiles) "We'll see."
::jump cut to Danny boarding a dingy bus, as the driver watches. As he leaves, the camera closes in on his chest with dragon mark. The driver is the Iron Fist::
::cut to Danny riding the bus toward an airport. He is dirty and wearing sandals on his mud-covered feet. As he walk into the airport, he leaves a trail of mud. At the ticket counter:
"When is the next direct flight to New York?" "Four hours." "Hai." He places a crumpled passport and a dirt-caked platinum card. "Where's your admiral's club?" He flashes a big smile.
Montage as he walks through airport security. They are hesitant to touch the dirty man with bare hands, still leaving dirt as he walks with muddy sandals. Looking around he sees a clothier. Cut to Danny holding a suitbag over his shoulder. He stops and looks at a pair of shoes in a store window, looks at his own feet and scowls.
Cut to Danny holding a suitbag and shoe box, walking into the executive lounge. Cut to Danny shaving in a steamed bathroom, getting cleaned up. Despite the steam on the mirror, we can see he has no mark on upon his chest. Cut to Danny walking out of the lounge, throwing his old clothes out in the trash can, clean-shaven and in an expensive suit. It's like seeing a different person. As he heads to his terminal, he's being watched.

Going back through several series for whatever reason. On season 2 of Community, Season 2 of Daredevil, and Season 1 of Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Saw GOTG2 this morning. Leaned a little too much on the goofy side, but a good watch overall.

You're not alone . . . I love it's mix of contemporary and 60's modern as well it's 'telling the story from his point of view, as an unreliable narrator'* Aaron *for those confused by the story, that's why - you're confused because he's confused . . . but trust me it makes sense by the end. I thought it was incredible. Really bold for a Marvel property, too. I'm not saying I'm not a fan normally - I loved DD and Jessica Jones - but I hadn't seen a level of darkness like that in anything with their label. Legion was one of the best shows I have ever seen!

Unreliable narrators are difficult to pull off on film. It was pretty amazeballs.
