I know this is probably a long shot, but I am going to be in Arizona for a month or two and would really like to run or find a game to play in temporarily. I know I am an addict, but I will be good after ONE MORE HIT!
I will be heading there this Friday(June 9th) and would be able to do Sunday-Thursday for pretty much anytime(would prefer Sunday afternoon). I will go back home to Maryland when I am finished working on and selling my mother's house. I would like to play in one of the Friendly Local Gaming Stores that Tucson seems to have in spades or if someone else would prefer to host. My mother's house is in shambles and she wouldn't like me bringing over strangers.
I would like to run a short sandbox campaign I have been developing called No Zombie Apocalypse for Old Men. It will be run in Savage Worlds and will be as Sandboxy as possible. You will be playing a group of old folks who have been abandoned at their retirement community. You will need to find a way to survive and get someplace where you can live out your twilight years in safety. There are human factions that you can join, take over, or even destroy if you so choose. I want to provide as much freedom as possible while keeping the group together for the most part.
If you have your own short campaign, convention style one shot, or would like to give me a shot in guest starring in an ongoing campaign of yours, I would be interested in that too.
I have been interested in the hobby for many years, but only recently have been able to play with any regularity which is why I want to do this. I prefer roleplaying to rollplaying and have a bit of a thespian side. I have only GMed one campaign of WEG Star Wars, and while I think my story was enjoyed, I let the PC's(all Jedi natch) become way too powerful and they walked over everything I threw at them. I run lots of short storytelling games with my girlfriend, but other than that I am a rookie GM. I would like more GM experience and I think I have a good game coming together, but if it is terrible, I like having the option of fleeing the state in embarrassment when I am done.
This is of course very time sensitive.
