How frequently do people expect the game's GM to post/be present in the game's forum? Asking because I'd love to get a PbP game up and running, but 5-7 evening 'jump in, read, post, go deal with meatspace' is about the maximum I can commit. I'd rather get a feel of what PbP players' expectations are before offering up a game!

I can tell you from experience that players will always want more time with the GM. Set your availability early and stick to it. But... make sure that you're sticking to both sides; don't just say "no weekends" - for instance - but then bug out on your "Tuesday from 3-5 PM" or whatever slot.
I'd also say that a good PbP Gm will intentionally pace themselves. The few times I attempted to run a PbP i combination flaked/burned out in part because I let my initial enthusiasm drive me to post like mad and be constantly thinking about the game.
