So, how did Gamex go this weekend? I know a large amount of the crew were tearing down Rogue's Reef at faire site, but how about those members who did make it?

Still recuperating and much in need of sleep, but had much fun.
Played several very good games including:
"Last Voyage of the HMS Babet," a Beat to Quarters game run by WillH which was fabulous tons of fun playing officers in the British Royal Navy.
"Living Dungeon World," a Dungeon World game (Part 5 of 5) run by Mike Olsen.
Which were my playing highlights for the weekend.
I ran:
"Old School" a 1st Edition AD&D game which was drawn from tropes and a plot line I actually wrote in 1983. The players seemed to have fun and enjoyed it.
"Zombie Mall," a modern era zombie apocalypse game in Hero 6th Edition. I don't know that it would be accurate to say the players enjoyed the game because as one player observed, "JiB I'm not going to be able to sleep for a week." I definitely think the players got the feeling of horror and confusion that I wanted so I call it a success.
I think it was a good weekend I certainly had fun.

I had a great time, pretty much as always - out of 8-10 game slots I usually figure at least one won't be much fun, but this Gamex was a solid 7/7 (lost a slot due to illness Saturday night, grr - a Call of Cthulhu game set during the Blitz). The highlights honestly were JiB's two games ("Old School", "Zombie Mall"), and WillH's "Last Voyage...". Between just those three I got to fight evil wizards, zombies, and the French - that's a win in my book any day. Also got to enjoy a refreshing pitcher of grog while playing an 1800's sailor - thanks Will! The other slots were: - "Savage Freebooters of Eberron" (Savage Worlds): My first Savage Worlds game, and had a blast as a Drow pirate (yum!).
- "Samurai in Mythic Japan" (Savage Worlds): Followed closely by my second Savage Worlds game, which I also enjoyed. Unfortunately, as I'd worked the overnight before the con I was having a hard time staying awake, but the group was very understanding. Annoyingly, the game I had to not show up for when I got sick was run by the same GM (sorry Tom!).
- "8 Hours Until Daylight" (World of Darkness): I played the stoner in a group of poor young teens being hacked to bits in a 1976 slasher flick. Run by the co-organizer of the always-fun Dead Gamer's Society. Some of my most fun Strategicon games have been horror games from DGS, and I've yet to not have a good time with 'em.
- "Tonight, the Dragon Dies" (D&D Blue Box): Woot, got to play not one but two old-school D&D games this con. Great trips down memory lane, plus I got to use my dear ol' blue d20 which is always nice.
Missed a lot of the usual faces but still had a lot of fun, and already looking forward to Gateway! (A few pics on my twitter stream.)
