Holy crap! I would so be keen for that GURPS game!
I've only ever been in 3 roleplaying sessions - I GMed a short GURPS game with some friends. ( I sent in a voicemail about it a while back). That went pretty well, but we were all a bit uncertain.
I've since moved to the middle of nowhere for a new job, and have no time to think about GMing. Saturday evenings in LA would be Sunday afternoons here -> Perfect!
Really hoping that Stu goes ahead with this and that I get in.

Ok- I must defend the little bit of honor i have left. Dave described the thermo detenator incident, but misremebered a few key facts. I blame the drinking. I was a smuggler (I have a Han Solo fetish, sue me) and after 2-3 play sessions Clockverk, who was a Bounty hunter decides to capture me and either turn me in or sell me to slavery. We had a few other PCs sold into slavery in other games, so this was a very real possibility. It wasnt a fight i could win, so as soon as they got into the room i had holed up in, i looked at dave and said, "I release the trigger on the detenator." it took a minute for everyone to realize the implication, but by that time i had started to roll damage. I told the dave the number and he looked a bit pale, closed the book and said, "Well there goes that." So, yes - i did toss the detenator, but it was in self defense, your honor. I rest my case.

That is an epic way to end a campaign though. In character, the direct reaction of player actions, fits the setting, and you literally ended with a bang. I would have high fixed you for that, and then kidney punched you for killing my character had I been in that campaign.
