I wrote a bit ago about the flail being my new favorite weapon in GURPS. I was thinking about what others' preferred selection of weapons are. GURPS is deadly and the so should be the the weapon.
What weapons do you chose?

I haven't played for a while, but I liked the pick for Swing based impaling damage. The weapon getting stuck was a bit of an issue, but not huge. Carry a backup weapon.

Warhammer. Yes you have to ready it and all but if you are hit you're dead. Swing impaling weapon are so badass (in theory).

I am beginning to like the idea of the swing impale. I am going to try some of these options in my next fighters.

Years ago, I made a character -- I think it was a dwarf with a fairly high strength -- who carried a halberd.
I'd do a ridiculous amount of damage -- especially all out attacks for damage.

I always liked the two-handed sword where I started out with an all-out attack / accuracy / neck.

That's often an effective attack.

I always liked the two-handed sword where I started out with an all-out attack / accuracy / neck. With the All Out Attack, I wonder if now some weapons are a better choice.

I understand that there is much win with the rifle. How about something a little less TL.

If you don't pick an impaling weapon that does swing damage, you're not trying.
