Hi All
Just recently got into SW and im planning on running a game of both Realms of Cthulhu and Slipstream over the summer for my kids and adults games !
I know ive heard many time about people using specific tokens etc for bennies tailored to their game. Does anyone have any suggestions for bennie tokens for those two settings ?

When I ran a Slipstream campaign I used little wooden stars available at most hobby/art supply stores.
For a Cthulhu game I would use something like little monster statues or I think there's a line of pencil erasers of suitable monsters.
Cheers,
JiB

I would use marbles for Call of Cthulhu bennies.
Once you're out of bennies, you've lost all your marbles.
Get it?
See what I did there?

Lol thanks for the ideas - love the marbles one - methinks my kids are suddenly going to have less marbles in their collection than previous :-)

Go buy this game: Unspeakable Words Part of the mechanic in the game involves these tiny little cthulhu toys. Its a fun little game and the toys would make aMAYzing bennies.

If you're into edible bennies, there's this awesome Japanese snack food called Cuttlefish snacks. They're made out of... well, they kinda look like Chex cereal in the shape of an octopus. And they're delicious. I would use them for a Cthulhu game.
As for the Slipstream one, I saw little pencil erasers in the shape of rocket ships at Staples the other day. Maybe that would work?

There are several websites that specialize in cutting acrylic to various shapes and thicknesses that are perfect for making bennies. Many of them just use stored CAD shapes to do things, but some of them are open to custom orders that they do not have a shape for(after all, they can redo the shape forever after your order for other people).

Wow, this is awesome. I have yet to play SW, but been reading the rules for a few weeks now. I'm gonna use standard nice poker chips for my first run, but now that you mention it I've got a few bags of Lego minifigures I picked up for a few bucks in some grab bags at the Lego store. The fact that there are 10's of them that match different settings makes it all the more useful. Speaking of edible cthulu's: images.cheezburger.com/completestore/2009/9/5/128966160626295254.jpgOf course, I've also got some of these fun little Dungeon cards lying around, those might work in some settings (oh the nostalgia!) magisterrex.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/blogdungeonmonsters1-2.jpg

I was at Target the other day and ended up getting some "table scatter" that were cool translucent red maple leaves that just cried out to be used for bennies.
Did I have a plan for 'em? No. Do I now? Yes. The bennies inspired a scenario for me to use 'em, The Leaves Rained Red. Nobody likes elves, right? Right! This particular scenario is based around the final push in the campaign to utterly eradicate the elvish menace from the face of the world.
Now I'm having more ideas for scenarios for those bennies, and I suspect I'm going to let myself do more of that "oh, these are cool, I'll get them and the scenario will follow" plan in the future.

Another one I found that I really liked but have yet to use is little clockwork gears available from a couple of different hobby stores for ... You guessed it ... Steampunk game.
Cheers,

(Found this the other day; I plan to get a few sets) "Upgrade almost any board game by replacing the player markers or tokens that came in the box with PennyGems. They're dazzlingly shiny, feel solid yet sensual to the touch, are very easy to pick up off a table (because of their raised edges), are non-skid, stack surprisingly well, have a nice weight to them, and are incredibly durable."
