Just wanted to vent and say that making lvl 20 pre-generated characters for a con game was a bad idea. I feel like I'm making Hero characters.
End rant so I can go back to making a few more tonight. Wait, that still feels ranty.

Yeah, level 20 is pretty psycho... so, you're having 1 combat...?

I feel you... That would be hard to pull off, DnD/PF is pretty broken on high levels, especially when it comes to casters, their spells can break plots not only combat encounters.

I have a two word suggestion to make this go easier ... Hero Lab ...
That is all.

Pansies...
I created nine (9!) lvl21 4E characters for a con game, and we got through three combats... in 6 hours, yes, but... And, yeah, it took me MONTHS to create those characters, not just the stats, but the power sheets, feat explanations, magic items, and, oh yeah, the actual backgrounds for said characters...
Okay, maybe not the best example.

Okay, maybe not the best example. For the pre-gens for my Pathfinder game at Gateway last year (started out as 20th level and ended up 15th) I used Hero Lab and spent an hour doing the stats and four hours doing bios and backgrounds and Hero Lab happily spat up the character sheets and the spell lists and such. I'm just sayin' JiB

Wish I had the extra money right now for Hero Lab. Find a friend who will enjoy Hero Lab, convince that friend to go in halfsies with you. You get to licenses for the software. That's what I did and it has worked VERY well.

I feel you... That would be hard to pull off, DnD/PF is pretty broken on high levels, especially when it comes to casters, their spells can break plots not only combat encounters. This is exactly my issue and I don't feel it happens only at 20 my 4th level PCs are making me frantic to keep the environment a factor without having to resort to constant monster attacks/heroic(leveled) npc encounters. I can't see us playing much past 12th level at this point. But, I can be a pessimist at times.

A bit less math, but no easier. JiB
