I also need to read up on the rules. I'm going to ask a dumb question and seek confirmation that FAE is FATE Accelerated Edition and that the best way to get it is for $5 from their website...

"Whores to do it"? . . . W.O.T.C? Change one word and it still works - Whores of The Coast (which makes Hasbro their pimp) Aaron That is wildly accurate. Hasbro "turns out" all their IPs for that mad dolla'.

...they're in an ever-shrinking segment of ever-shrinking market. Have to agree. At least they're trying to figure out how to adapt. They're like Blockbuster searching for Netflix. They don't want to get left in the dust as technology and the way people interact is changing. And they sure as hell don't want someone to beat them to the next best thing and get put them out of business. If you make some shit along the way, oh well. That is how all creative endeavors go. You're never going to be amazingly awesome 100% of the time (probably not even 50% of the time). Though I wasn't a fan of 4E, I continue to enjoy the worlds, games, and assorted D&D related stuff that is put into the market place. I think I've played most of the D&D related video games and read many novels. I want Wizards to do whatever it takes to keep giving me those things and don't care if they have to be whores to do that. I'm excited with the changes that I've seen so far for the next step in D&D and hope that this multimedia thing is cool. I would probably play it on console/PC, my phone, and an at home tabletop game if I had all those options.

I'm not forcing you into hosting, Houndin. My computer can take hosting, I think, but I'm going to have to test all this out before I know, that's all. I'm not trying to make anyone do something they don't want to. If it ends up not working then I can do something else for my brainstorming, I don't want people to have to fuck up their schedules for an untested idea. No worries I wasn't implying that you were. If anthing I'm forcing myself upon your idea. (wow that sounded dirty) I had already been talking with malifer about starting a 3rd Argument Phase vidcast, but couldn't come up with a theme for mine. So I did what all the greats do. I stole someone else's idea. Ha! So many Arguement Phases! I am super down to participate. I'll keep my beady eyes out. Moving all our furniture today and should have internet again by Wednesday.

Can anyone recommend a "this is what Diablo is about" primer? Is there a wiki or a video that explains it best? I know absolutely nothing about it. Wanted to play as a teen but Southern Baptist parents weren't going to let me play a game called The Devil even if it is about killing demons/devils.

Regarding your worries about purchasing t-shirts, stu, isn't there some website where you could post the designs, and the people ordering would choose colors and sizes (and genedered clothe specifics) and hence you could avoid the whole fiasco of making them yourself? Also it can cut quality pretty significantly. I've bought from some of those sites in the past and have never been 100% happy with the quality. Nothing beats a person with a screen, a squeegee, and some dye stuffs.

Awww dark purple gets my vote - it's not girly (I hope :/ ) What about "I'm min maxed to the max MF" ? Aaron Dark purple is always the best color, but inevitably, if a tee is offered in purple it always seems to be this color.

I have RL game night every second Saturday, and I could probably do a Diablo style game on the off weeks. I'm in PDT, and I could probably comfortably run around 5 my time, or 8 Eastern. I don't generally like to run remote games for more than 3-4 hours at a stretch. I think I could mush something together for about a 4-6 session small campaign. Once that's over, you can decide how you want to proceed. I'm pretty sure that would work for me. Probably a good idea to keep it kinda short in case she isn't super thrilled. I think 3 hours is a good goal for time, then if it goes a bit long no worries. I'm a grouchy control freak GM though, and I want to be present for character gen. Nothing bugs me more than people coming to my character gen session going "OK I made my guy he's a blah with blah powers blah blah blah blah" and I'm like "well, crap. Now you think this is session 1." No worries there. I think that can be helpful for new players both to TRPG and to new systems.

(Probably) an obvious question, but these are dude sizes, yes? I can order a ladies-style t-shirt as well. My guy charges a couple buck extra per unit if I don't order a case, but I can do ladies shirts too. I don't really have a preference, but it will affect which size I would buy. I'm that one vote for small, but would need a medium in a lady's shirt style. What you said on the show is probably pretty valid (although other ladies will need to speak for themselves); I don't know if it would be worth getting both styles. I damn sure wouldn't buy a shirt in a "girly" color. My vote for saying goes to, "Do I get XP for talking to you?"

My game is pretty much a "Plot Point Campaign." The characters got made, and I made a huge arch that related to the idea of the characters. They're pulled into the over-plot and it goes on without them in the background while they're running their ideas in a sandbox way.
My advise on how to write those is to sit down and ask all the players what their character's big goals are and then come up with something that can weave them together in a thematic way. The cleric in my game wanted to root out corruption in her religion, so I built a background plot about religious corruption and deities (both current and past). She's been shutting down some slavery (sandbox idea she dug into), but through back channel machinations, that slavery trade is linked into the corruption in her church. If the slavery trade is being run by a corrupt church official who is sacrificing the captured children to a demon, then the cleric's interruption of sacrificial lambs is going to bring details about the corruption bubbling up to the surface for her to discover. In that way, even meaningless, small issues can tie back in and give the players more information about your big story in the background - you just have to get creative about making connections between "plot points."
I love running games this way. It lets your players sandbox things they'd like and also lets you have a story to tell. It's a good balance allowing different pieces of the story to work together to give everyone story fulfillment.

I don't know anything at all about Diablo, SW, or Fate, but I live on the East coast and might be able to join in. All depends on the day/time. I'm keepin' an eye on this.
