Okay, hold on a second. Is that, like, real lard in that pan? Or is it some kind of cream-based gravy? And is it honest-to-God lard, or vegetable based lard (like Crisco). Or is it congealed bacon grease (which I would obviously forgive). Crisco. There is even a butter made of something just as tasteless. And it costs money to buy it to add insult. AND they pour sauce over the top of pizza here. But you cannot buy a bag of salt and vinegar chips! LOL salt & vinegar chips - a Dutch friend of mine would never go to coffeeshops with us when we visited her saying "they're just here so I don't need to go". When she came to England she offered us her favourite chips which she can't get in the Netherlands - 'salt & vinegar' : we all declined saying "eh they're always there so we don't need to eat them'. Though I do like the German's paprika and chips. NB: chips=crisps not chips as in 'fish & chips' . . . a source of great confusion in the UK when I first arrived (they're crisps in the UK) Aaron

I was at the Broadway Diner in Columbia, MO once and had a 'stretch'. Hash browns, eggs, chili, cheddar cheese, green peppers and onions. Sounds pretty gross, actually delicious. You can see it on the Menu on UrbanSpoon. (last page) LOL, that's the town I grew up in...the broadway diner is BOSS! Love that place! -Shoe

Advance to 15 and collect ... ehr, those crisps, of course! ;D And I am sure there is more than one RPG Law That Ought To Be contained in that wisdom right there. Of course, it's arguable....

If I could find good work back in that town, I'd move in a heartbeat. But I'm close enough for visits.

But I'm close enough for visits. I went there for junior high, high school, and undergrad. Then moved to st.louis for a job...hated it and moved to seattle Love it on the west coast, but I had to move quite a bit away from the city to truly enjoy it! I do miss the gaming scene in COMO, if you lived there between 2005-2006 you may have met me. I worked at Valhalla's Gate during that time.

I lived there 97-99. My brother in law (Jeff) might've worked there during that time as well, though.

I'm always amused when Stork brings up how amazing it was for the Scorpio. Shugenja to heal the one dude, when me bank ally it's really not that far fetched, and thematically it's not far off, the priests ask for the kami's blessing and the kami chooses how much they will do to save the person.
Then there's also the medicine roll which can heal more, and if any monks know the one water kiho there's some more healing.

Regarding middle eastern music (or any music you plan to use) it's great when you find something that is a modern take or fusion of sorts, so that it doesn't sound like traditional music people have heard.
For instance, there are a few artists out of south of France that do a mix of middle eastern music and jazz (without it being cheesy); I'll post the name if I can remember it. Or there is a band called Dva from Australia which is 2 artists (one percussion, one winds) which do a mix of african, middle eastern and jazz (also not cheesy). Gives you some of the feel you might be going for, without it sounding *exactly* like our traditional world.
