Stork and I have now registered our game. We decided that in order to maximize the player space we would run it twice!
Title: Can't AfFord to Miss! Game System: Tales from The Floating Vagabond Description: A hilarious romp through the best of Hollywood action films. GM: CADave and Stork
Timeslots will be Friday 8pm and Saturday at 2pm!
Hope to see you there!

My Lost Temple-City of Xtylos Dungeon World game got approved. It's Friday at 2pm. I forgot to include any kind of indication that this is a Happy Jacks game and didn't use my usual online name. Kind of kicking myself about that now.

Kind of kicking myself about that now. I don't think you'll have any trouble recruiting...bring on the 10 foot gladiators. Just heard Hoiserob plug my attendance to September con in HJRP 1008? brings a tear to me eye...cuz I have been called to sea once again and won't be back in time. Perhaps the intrepid heros meet an avatar of death named...Tim?

Is it just me or is the the convention website rather sparse on the RPGs this time? Not as in Happy Jacks & affiliate games, but the other games. There's only a handful. Where are the Dead Gamers Society, Pathfinder Society, RPGA and other various and sundry offerings? Maybe there's more still to post?

Aw dude. That's weak, D.T. Pints. Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it this year. Maybe in 2015 you, me, and jfever can all descend on an LA con together. It's funny you mentioned Tim. With all the great material the HJs crew have given me from playing Dungeon World and Monsterhearts games, it's a real shame to waste it. I've been trying to think of ways to incorporate the fiction established in those games into my new ones. Your Queen Lou Lou and her "family" still gives me the creeps. I'm sure there will be more game soon, Benji. I'm planning on running at least three but haven't figured out what my other two are. We have to get out games in by August 9th, and I suspect people are waiting until the last minute. Just like me. Plus, there is a while between a game being submitted and then getting approved and put on the schedule.I submitted my game on the 16th and it didn't get approved until the 26th.

Thinking I might run:
Title: Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon: Requiem Game System: GURPS 4th GM: Mook Time Slots: Saturday 9am, Sunday 9am
Description: Hank, Eric, Diana, Albert, Sheila, and Bobby have been stuck in the Realms for more than a year, surviving countless adventures but never quite making it back to the amusement park they were plucked from. If Dungeon Master can't get them home, maybe it's time to give Venger a try? All he wants is a magic key... (NOTE: This is a GURPS game.)

My games just went up today:
Smoldering Memorandum Fate Accelerated
Steve Hatchett has convinced his buddies to come out to Palm Springs with him for some well-deserved R&R, courtesy of his rich girlfriend''s Country Club membership. Of course, there''s no rest for a burned spy, so wherever Matthew Easton goes, trouble isn''t far behind...
Open Minds Fate Core (with a hacked Psionics system that Mike Olson and I discussed one day)
It's a quiet day for Alpha, the top-line Psionic Rescue and Retrieval unit in the Southern California branch of The Sanctuary. As a matter of fact, it's been too quiet. No new psychic eruptions in weeks. No nefarious Collective plots to subvert the current World Order. No attacks on Sanctuary agents. Either the entire Psionic world has suddenly gone quiet, or something big is about to happen.
<Edit> And ugh, what is with their system? It converts apostrophies into quotation marks once it's been submitted. Awful.

Hey. Don't complain.
We could be in Germany, where they haven't heard of pre-registration.

Hey. Don't complain. We could be in Germany, where they haven't heard of pre-registration. Or NoCal where game seats are issued by lottery for a lot of the cons. (In NoCal, you don't get game, game gets you.) Or where 'The Donut' is used. (Players form a large circle around the smaller circle of GMs pitching their game. Then, when the facilitator says 'go', you race to be noticed by the GM whose game you'd like to play. Actually, now that I think of it, that's sort of bananas & awesome at the same time.)

Yeah, uh, don't think I'll be hitting any cons using the "Stock Exchange Floor" method of player-pairing.

So many games all at the same time! I have a feeling this con is going to be so incredibly fun, but I won't be able to make it out of bed Monday afternoon due to being completely wiped out.
