My Murderous Ghosts game will be played on Sunday. The time slot is from 4:00 PM (West coast time) to 8:00 PM (West Coast Time).
I'm in Central Time, so that's 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM for me. There was some talk about whether Daylight Savings was in effect or not, so just use this link to figure out the difference between Pacific time and your own time zone. (Time travel without a TARDIS is a bitch.)
The booklet indicates that a game of Murderous Ghosts will generally last 30 minutes to 1 hour. I expect to go from 1 hour to 1.5 because we'll be taking time to get suggestions/feedback from the peanut gallery. (If any.) I also have one seated player and 1 alternate. So if the alternate is so inclined, we can start fresh with a new story once Player 1 has died or escaped. And/Or we can do a game where one of the players becomes the MC and the peanut gallery (if any) becomes the other player by chiming in on the chatroom which will be monitored my me (similar to the actual play video I posted in the other thread).
Murderous Ghosts is based on apocalypse-world. If you decide you'd like to buy it, you can get it here as either a hard copy + PDF download ($17), or just a PDF download ($5).
I will be providing the player(s) of my game with a link to the PDF version of the player book unless they decide they want to play "blind" and have me to handle all the flipping through.
It's a 2 player game, with the MC and "the other player". There are no stats or skills, only the imaginations of the two players, the two books, and a deck of cards. (You can smell the patchouli from here can't you?)
It plays out a bit like a free form "choose your own adventure". Each book consists of a bunch of entries that provide guidelines for the MC and the other player. All of the entries in the MC book have odd numbers and all the entries in the Player book have even numbers. So the MC follows the instructions in their book and at the end it will say something like, "Tell the player to turn to #4." The Player follows the instructions in entry #4 and then is told to give the MC a number to turn to, and so on and so forth.
As the Player moves through the environment, both the MC and the Player draw cards. The Player's cards influence whether something good, middling, or really bad happen. The MC's cards influence how close the Player is to escape.
Questions?
