Hi there i I have a dilema for a con game. Running Mass Effect 2(ish) game in a con what system is better: Savage Worlds or Traveller?
The game is after ME2 and before 3, it'll be like the game most of it group ARPG and not much interstellar travelling.

I've considered a Mass Effect Savage Worlds game before. It feels like the system would be a good fit. It supports a lot of action and PCs can take a few hits, but PCs aren't gods of destruction like you'd find Deathwatch or something. They still have to be smart about cover when facing a lot of enemies. In various books you can find everything you'd need for all the types of weapons and enemies, plus the different archetypes from the game. Soldiers will be easy to create, but with powers you can cover all the psionic and gadgety abilities the characters have in the source material.

Savagepedia has a link to several fan-made conversions, one of which is Mass Effect. I had a look through it and it seems to handle the setting pretty competently. Maybe check that out and see if it makes your prep a little easier. I am writing via my phone right now so I don't have a link on hand but it's relatively easy to find!

I was going to jump in and offer some suggestions, but asked and answered. Good luck with your game, can't wait to hear how it plays out.
